Dear Peter: Usually each firewood log rack, I know, have the rack on level ground or a driveway. However, it not means that firewood racks can’t be modified, but that could take some work.

Usually, you can use salvaged wood beams. They can often be found at  businesses that receive stone, granite, or marble or trucking companies. You can also purchase these strong materials at a lumber yard. I reccomend to ask treated lumber.

• Plywood piece
• 2×6 lumber
• 4 x 4 boards

1. Place a twin mattress on the floor or work area as a guide.

2. The loft portion of the bed is going to consist of a simple rectangle box made from the 2×6 lumber.
